Sinossi

Long ago, there was a beautiful woman with wings, Kannabi no Mikoto. She was feared by the society of the time and imprisoned in a temple; she was never allowed to see her mother, let alone rejoin the world outside the temple. Her only rays of hope were her servants and her bodyguard, with whom she fell in love over time. Eventually, with the help of her few confidants, she tried to force her freedom. However, she was put under a curse by monks that denied her soul the final peace and made her relive her death over and over again.

Centuries later, in a small, quiet and peaceful town by the sea, the student Misuzu suffers from an unknown illness. The local doctor can do nothing for the girl except keep a watchful eye on her.
One day, a puppeteer named Kunisaki Yukito shows up in town, and he happens to meet Misuzu and befriends her. Since he has no roof over his head, the girl puts him up as a lodger in her family’s house. So the old story takes its course again … can the two of them change fate this time?
Annotation: The story has been shortened compared to the series, but also contains scenes that were only hinted at in the series.
