“YoRHa: Pearl Harbor Descent Record – A NieR:Automata Story”:
No. 2 is an attack-type YoRHa android. She is equipped with a sword and thus responsible for close-combat attacks. She is a shy android who lacks self-confidence – unlike No. 1, whom she greatly admires.

Together with 15 other androids, she is sent on the 14th Pearl Harbor Descent Mission, the aim of which is to rid the Earth of enemy robots and prepare for the return of humanity. However, problems already arise during the landing, and the leader, the confident and determined No. 1, is killed. Now, No. 2 is made the new leader. Of the 16 YoRHas who took part in the mission, many more did not survive the landing. In total, four androids survived: No. 2, No. 4, No. 16 and No. 21. Even though the mission already seems to have failed, there is one major issue that forces the four to continue: Commander White does not allow them to return to the Bunker or call for reinforcements. Now, it is up to the four ladies to hold out alone against an army of machines. No. 2 is more than overwhelmed by the situation. Just when things are looking bad for them, a ray of hope opens up: the resistance. And No. 2 makes an important decision: she decides to trust them …
