Kalt, verschwiegen und emotionslos – so könnte man Ken nach seiner Befreiung aus dem Phönixbaum beschreiben. Seine damalige Gutmütigkeit und sein freundliches Wesen sind beide kaum noch in seinem ausdruckslosen Antlitz wiederzuerkennen. Nach der langen Folter durch den brutalen Ghul Gecko, erwachte in ihm eine neue Persönlichkeit als Ghul, welche er auch voll und ganz akzeptierte. Auch erwachten in ihm neue, ungeahnte Kräfte, die ihn so stark machen, dass ihn das CCG unter dem Codenamen „Augenklappe“ als SS-Ghul einstufte. Doch anstatt sich wieder auf den Weg zu seinen ehemaligen Freunden zu begeben, schließt er sich dem Phönixbaum an. Seitdem zeigte er den anderen aus dem Antik bloß die kalte Schulter, doch tatsächlich setzt er alles daran, noch stärker zu werden, um sie irgendwann noch besser beschützen zu können.
