Cinderella and Four Knights (2016)

To pay for her studies, Eun Ha-Won takes on several part-time jobs. She doesn’t get a single Won from her stepmother, who only has enough money to send one of her daughters to university, which will obviously be her biological daughter. Due to his job, Ha-Won’s father is rarely at home and doesn’t realise how badly his daughter is treated by her stepmother and stepsister.

The chairman of the Haneul Group wants his three grandchildren to get along with each other. His grandfather, Kang Hyun-Min, the eldest of the cousins, is an arrogant womaniser and nothing more than a cheater. Kang Seo-Woo, the youngest of the three, may be a popular musician, though, in his grandfather’s eyes, he is a good-for-nothing. And Kang Ji-Woon, the middle cousin, is labelled a thug by his grandfather. When their grandfather gets married for the fifth time, his grandchildren are also supposed to be present.

At a party, Hyun-Min decides to take the first girl who walks through the door to the wedding. As chance would have it, Ha-Won enters the room. Although she doesn’t want to play Hyun-Min’s fiancée, he tempts her with five million won, which she needs to pay for her deceased mother’s urn deposit. After the wedding, the cousins are supposed to move into the Sky House together. Their grandfather also invites Ha-Won to live there as she is supposed to bring the family back together. But secretary Lee Yoon-Sung warns the young people: relationships are forbidden in the Sky House!

Um ihr Studium zu bezahlen, nimmt Eun Ha-Won gleich mehrere Teilzeitjobs an. Von ihrer Stiefmutter bekommt sie nämlich keinen Won. Diese hat nämlich nur so viel Geld, um eine ihrer Töchter auf die Uni zu schicken, und das soll ihre leibliche Tochter sein. Ha-Wons Vater ist aus beruflichen Gründen nur selten zu Hause und erkennt nicht, wie schlecht seine Tochter von ihrer Stiefmutter und ihrer Stiefschwester behandelt wird.

Der Vorsitzende des Haneul-Konzerns möchte, dass sich seine drei Enkel miteinander vertragen. Kang Hyun-Min, der älteste der Cousins, ist ein arroganter Frauenheld und für seinen Großvater nichts weiter als ein Fremdgeher. Kang Seo-Woo, der jüngste unter den dreien, ist zwar ein populärer Musiker, in den Augen seines Großvaters jedoch ein Nichtsnutz. Und Kang Ji-Woon, der mittlere Cousin, wird von seinem Großvater als Schlägertyp bezeichnet. Als ihr Großvater zum bereits fünften Mal heiratet, sollen auch seine Enkel anwesend sein.

Auf einer Party nimmt Hyun-Min sich vor, das erste Mädchen, das durch die Tür kommt, zur Hochzeit mitzunehmen. Wie der Zufall es so möchte, betritt Ha-Won den Raum. Diese möchte zwar nicht Hyun-Mins Verlobte spielen, doch dieser lockt sie mit fünf Millionen Won, die sie braucht, um die Urnen-Hinterlegung ihrer verstorbenen Mutter zu bezahlen. Nach der Hochzeit sollen die Cousins gemeinsam in die Himmelsvilla einziehen. Ihr Großvater lädt auch Ha-Won ein, dort zu wohnen, denn diese soll die Familie wieder zusammenbringen. Doch der Sekretär Lee Yoon-Sung warnt die jungen Leute: In der Himmelsvilla sind Beziehungen verboten!
