Il tempo passa, senza che le persone si accorgano di vivere nell’ombra di eterne battaglie che infuriano inosservate in tutto il mondo. Creature possenti provenienti da una dimensione parallela, i Guzen no Tomogara, aspirano ad ottenere un’esistenza nel nostro mondo, rubando agli umani quello che noi comunemente chiamiamo «energia vitale». Gli essere umani non solo muoiono, ma vengono trasformati in questa energia e divorati. Un giorno Sakai Yuji, semplice scolaro, viene attaccato da un Rinnen (un servo dei Tomogara). In realtà non dovrebbe notarlo sicché, tutte le esistenze che si trovano all’interno del così detto Fusetzu creato dai Tomogara si sono bloccate, come se fosse stato fermato il flusso del tempo. In ogni caso… Yuji non è più un essere umano, bensì un Torch. Precisamente un Torch molto speciale: un Mistes, un Torch che porta in se un oggetto magico molto potente.

Quando il Rinnen vuole uccidere Yuji, appare una ragazza: i suoi capelli sono di fuoco e i suoi occhi sono rosso accesso. Porta una spada possente e salva Yuji dal Rinnen. Presto lei gli rivela il suo destino e quando scopre quale oggetto magico il ragazzo porta in se, inizia un’incredibile avventura …

Time passes by without people noticing how they are in the shadows of eternal battles that rage unrecognised all over the world. Powerful creatures from a parallel dimension, the Denizen, strive to exist in our world and rob humans of what is commonly known as “Life Energy”. Humans don’t die but are merely converted into such energies and consumed. Yuuji Sakai, a normal student, is one day attacked by a Rinne, a servant of the Denizen. He shouldn’t notice this, as all existences in the so-called Fusetzu that the Denizen form, are rigid, as if the flow of time had stopped. In any case … Yuuji is no longer human, but a torch. And a very special torch at that: a Mystes, a torch that carrys a powerful object within it.

As the Rinne is about to kill Yuuji, a girl appears: Her hair is flaming and her eyes are fire-red. She bears a mighty sword and saves Yuuji from the Rinne. Soon, he learns his fate from her, and when she sees what magical object he carries within himself, an incredible adventure begins for the two of them …

Die Zeit zieht an den Menschen vorbei, ohne dass diese merken, wie sie im Schatten ewiger Kämpfe stehen, die unerkannt auf der ganzen Welt toben. Mächtige Wesen aus einer Parallel-Dimension, die Guzen no Tomogara, streben danach, eine Existenz in unserer Welt zu erlangen, und rauben den Menschen dafür das, was man allgemein „Lebensenergie“ nennt. Die Menschen sterben dabei nicht nur, sondern werden in solche Energie verwandelt und aufgefressen. Yuuji Sakai, ein gewöhnlicher Schüler, wird eines Tages von einem Rinnen, einem Bediensteten der Tomogara, angegriffen. Eigentlich dürfte er es nicht mitbekommen, denn alle Existenzen in dem so genannten Fusetzu, das die Tomogara bilden, sind erstarrt, als wäre der Fluss der Zeit gestoppt. Doch Yuuji ist kein Mensch mehr, sondern eine sogenannte Fackel – und zwar eine ganz besondere: Ein Mistes, also eine Fackel, die ein mächtiges magisches Objekt in sich trägt.

Als der Rinnen Yuuji töten will, taucht ein Mädchen auf: Ihr Haar ist flammend und feuerrot sind ihre Augen. Sie führt eine mächtige Klinge und rettet Yuuji vor dem fast schon sicheren Tod. Alsbald erfährt er von ihr sein Schicksal und als sie entdeckt, welchen magischen Gegenstand der Junge in sich trägt, beginnt für beiden ein Abenteuer mit weitreichenden Folgen …

El tiempo pasa sin que la gente se dé cuenta de que está a la sombra de las eternas batallas que se libran sin ser reconocidas en todo el mundo. Seres poderosos de una dimensión paralela, los Guzen no Tomogara, se esfuerzan por alcanzar una existencia en nuestro mundo y roban a las personas lo que generalmente se llama «energía vital». Los seres humanos no solo mueren en este acto, sino que también son transformados en energía y comidos. Sakai Yuji, un estudiante común, es atacado un día por un Rinnen (un personal de los Tomogara). Normalmente no lo tendría que realizarlo, porque toda la existencia en los Fusetzu que crean los Tomogara, son congelados, como si el el paso del tiempo fuese parado. Sin embargo… Yuji ya no es un ser humano, sino una antorcha. Una antorcha muy especial: un Mistes, una antorcha, que lleva un poderoso objeto mágico en su interior.

Cuando el Rinnen quiere matar a Yuji, aparece una chica: su pelo flamea y sus ojos son de color rojo intenso. Empuña una poderosa espada y salva a Yuji de los Rinnen. Pronto se entera de su destino por ella, y cuando descubre qué objeto mágico lleva el chico, comienza una increíble aventura con los dos …

Le temps passe, sans que les humains ne se rendent compte qu’ils se trouvent dans l’ombre de combats éternels, menés de manière invisible partout dans le monde. De puissants êtres d’une dimension parallèle, les Guzen no Tomogara, aspirent à acquérir une existence dans notre monde volent à l’homme ce que l’on appelle communément « L’énergie de l’existentielle humaine ». Les humains n’en meurent pas mais se transforment en une telle énergie et se font dévorer. Sakai Yuji, un jeune lycéen, se fait un jour attaquer par un Rinne (employé de la Tomogara). Il ne devrait normalement pas s’en rendre compte, étant donné que toute existence au sein du Fusetzu qui forme le Tomogara, se fige comme si le temps s’était arrêté. Quoi qu’il en soit, Yuji n’est plus un humain mais une torche. Et pas n’importe quelle torche, c’est un Mistes. Il contient un puissant objet magique en lui.

Lorsque les Rinnes essayent de tuer Yuji, une fille aux cheveux de feu et aux yeux rouge flamboyant apparaît. Elle porte une puissante lame et sauve Yuji des Rinnes. Il apprendra rapidement son destin grâce à elle, et lorsqu’elle découvre l’objet magique que porte le garçon en lui, une aventure incroyable commence pour les deux…
