Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka, l’adattamento anime dell’omonimo manga di Makoto Fukami e Seigo Tokiya segue al «Magical Five» Asuka che si è ritirata dopo la sua battaglia contro i Disas e che ora vorrebbe condurre una vita tranquilla così come ogni ragazza della sua età. I Disas – una forma di vita terrificante proveniente dal mondo dei morti – portarono, tre anni addietro, l’umanità sull’orlo della catastrofe e niente riusciva a fermarli. Solo con l’impiego di un gruppo di ragazze, le quali possedevano poteri incredibili che le venivano conferiti da una misteriosa fonte, i Disas sono stati sconfitti. Queste ragazze formavano l’unità speciale a cui apparteneva anche Asuka, la «Magical Five».

Tutte e cinque le ragazze si sono ora abituate alla loro nuova vita normale e mentre alcune di esse sono diventate istruttrici e altre ricercatrici rimanendo nell’esercito, Asuka cerca di costruirsi la vita che ha sempre desiderato: scuola, amici e forse anche amore. Purtroppo le cose non sempre vanno come lo desideriamo e Asuka viene presto strappata dalla sua vita noiosa. I Disas sono tornati e quindi tocca di nuovo all’unità speciale «Magical Five» fermare queste creature! Ma Asuka è davvero pronta a lasciare di nuovo la sua vita normale e tornare a far parte dell’unità?

“Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka”, the anime adaptation of the eponymous manga by Makoto Fukami and Seigo Tokiya, follows “Mahou Shoujo” Asuka, who has finally retired after her fight against the Disas and now wants to live an ordinary life, just like any other girl her age. The Disas – a terrifying life form from the land of the dead – brought humanity to the edge of disaster three years ago, and nothing was able to stop them. Only through the efforts of a group of girls, granted incredible powers by a mysterious source, were the Disas defeated and beaten back. Together, these girls formed the “Mahou Shoujo Special Unit,” of which Asuka was a member.

Now, all five have settled into their new ordinary lives, and while one or the other has remained in the military as an instructor or researcher, Asuka is trying to build the life she always wanted: school, friends, and maybe even love. However, nothing in life turns out the way you want it to, and she quickly gets torn out of her tedious daily routine: the Disas are back, and once again, it’s up to the “Mahou Shoujo Special Unit” to put a stop to these creatures! That said, is Asuka ready to give up her dream of an ordinary life and rejoin the military?

»Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka«, die Anime-Adaption des gleichnamigen Mangas von Makoto Fukami und Seigo Tokiya, folgt dem »Mahou Shoujo« Asuka, das sich nach seinem Kampf gegen die Disas endlich zur Ruhe gesetzt hat und nun ein ganz normales Leben führen will, so wie jedes Mädchen seines Alters. Die Disas – eine Schrecken erregende Lebensform aus dem Land der Toten – brachte die Menschheit vor drei Jahren bis an den Rand einer Katastrophe und nichts vermochte sie zu stoppen. Nur durch den Einsatz einer Gruppe von Mädchen, denen von einer geheimnisvollen Quelle unglaubliche Mächte verliehen wurden, konnten die Disas bezwungen und zurückgeschlagen werden. Diese Mädchen bildeten die »Mahou-Shoujo-Spezialeinheit«, der auch Asuka angehörte.

Alle fünf haben sich nun in ihre neuen, normalen Leben eingewöhnt und während die eine oder andere als Ausbilderin oder Forscherin beim Militär blieb, versucht Asuka sich das Leben aufzubauen, das sie sich immer wünschte: Schule, Freunde und vielleicht sogar Liebe. Doch nichts im Leben kommt so, wie man es sich wünscht und sie wird schnell aus ihrem langweiligen Alltag gerissen: Die Disas sind wieder da und wieder einmal ist es an der »Mahou-Shoujo-Spezialeinheit«, diesen Kreaturen Einhalt zu gebieten! Aber ist Asuka wirklich bereit, ihren Traum von einem normalen Leben aufzugeben und wieder dem Militär beizutreten?

Les Disas – une forme de vie terrifiante venue du pays des morts – ont mené l’humanité au bord du désastre il y a trois ans, et rien n’a pu les arrêter. Ce n’est que grâce aux efforts d’un groupe de filles, auxquelles une source mystérieuse a conféré des pouvoirs incroyables, que les Disas ont été vaincus et repoussés. Ces filles ont formé la « Mahou Shoujo Special Unit », dont Asuka était membre.

Toutes les cinq se sont maintenant installées dans leur nouvelle vie normale, et tandis qu’une ou deux sont restées dans l’armée en tant qu’instructrices ou chercheuses, Asuka essaie de construire la vie qu’elle a toujours voulue : école, amis, et peut-être même l’amour. Mais rien dans la vie ne se passe comme on le souhaite et elle est rapidement tirée de sa routine ennuyante : Les Disas sont de retour, et une fois de plus, c’est à « l’Unité Spéciale Magical Girls » de mettre un terme à ces créatures ! Mais Asuka est-elle vraiment prête à renoncer à son rêve d’une vie normale et à rejoindre l’armée ?
