The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Season 2 - Parte 2 (2023)

“The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Season 2 - Part 2” is the second half of the second season. When Raguels intervened in Gabriel’s search for Lailah, Emi’s mother, putting Chiho in danger as well, Emi and Sadao once again joined forces. Little did either of them know that it was precisely Lailah who not only helped Chiho but also gave her one of the Yesod fragments she so feverishly sought; thanks to the extra power, Chiho was even able to assist her friends. Together, Gabriel and Raguel were driven away for the time being.

For a short while, everyday life returns. Sadao and Chiho once again devote themselves to their work at the fast food store, but Emi, Suzuno and Chiho disappear day after day, leaving Sadao and Shirou in the dark. Emi, on the other hand, is troubled by the realisation that her father is still alive; after all, her original motivation to become the heroine of Duck Isla now seems rather questionable. When Sadao tries to cheer her up – or distract her – he is suddenly teleported away. Farfarello, one of the higher-ranking demons, reports on the progress in the conquest of Ente Isla and demands Sadao’s return, but the latter doesn’t seem to be very willing – to the demon’s shock. Has the former demon king spent too much time among humans?

»The Devil Is a Part-Timer! II - Teil 2« ist die zweite Hälfte der zweiten Staffel. Als Raguels in Gabriels Suche nach Lailah, Emis Mutter, eingriff und damit auch Chiho in Gefahr brachte, schlossen sich Emi und Sadao einmal mehr zusammen. Beide ahnten nicht, dass es gerade Lailah war, die Chiho nicht nur half, sondern ihr auch eines der so fieberhaft gesuchten Yesod-Fragmente gab; dank der zusätzlichen Kraft konnte Chiho sogar ihren Freunden beistehen. Gemeinsam konnten Gabriel und Raguel fürs Erste vertreiben werden.

Für eine kurze Weile kehrt wieder der Alltag ein. Sadao und Chiho widmen sich erneut ihrer Arbeit im Fast-Food-Laden, jedoch entschwinden Emi, Suzuno und Chiho Tag für Tag und lassen Sadao und Shirou im Dunkeln. Emi hingegen macht die Erkenntnis, dass ihr Vater noch lebt, zu schaffen, schließlich erscheint ihre ursprüngliche Motivation, die Heldin von Ente Isla zu werden, jetzt eher fraglich. Als Sadao sie aufmuntern – oder vielmehr ablenken – will, wird selbiger urplötzlich wegteleportiert. Farfarello, einer der ranghöheren Dämonen, berichtet vom Fortschritt bei der Eroberung von Ente Isla und verlangt Sadaos Rückkehr, doch der scheint nicht gerade willens zu sein – zum Entsetzen des Dämons. Hat der einstige Dämonenkönig womöglich doch schon zu viel Zeit unter Menschen verbracht?
