Operation Strix is in danger! Loid Forger, the ace spy of Westalis, has been assigned to make contact with the top politician of Ostania. Therefore, he founded a fake family consisting of the adoptive daughter Anya, who can read thoughts, Yor, who also works as an assassin, and Bond, the family dog with the ability to see the future – everyone keeps their true identity and their skills a secret from another.

But now, the supervisors of Loid lack money and don’t have enough evidence of the success of Operation Strix. Lucky that Anyas gets a chance of a Stella from the Eden Academy. When you collect enough of those Stellas, you’ll get invited to a party where high-ranked politicians of Ostania are participating. Still, there is a problem: Anya needs to win a baking contest, but her performance in school is everything but good.

So Loid decides to help her a bit, and because of the top spy he is, he already knows the favourite dessert of the jury – the principal of Eden Academy. Now, all Anya has to do is learn how to make Meremere. So, the family takes a trip north to Frigis, where the dish comes from. While Yor suspects Loid of cheating and Anys is drawn into some trouble with the military, Loid needs to be successful in favour of Operation Strix.

Will everything go right for the top spy so that he can once more keep the peace between Westalis and Ostania – or will the family divide because of the secrets everybody has?

Operation Strix ist in Gefahr! Loid Forger, der Topspion von Westalis, hat den Auftrag, Kontakt zu einem hochrangigen Politiker von Ostania herzustellen. Dazu gründet er eine Scheinfamilie mit der Adoptivtochter Anya, die Gedanken lesen kann, Yor, die die Ehefrau spielt, aber eigentlich als Auftragskillerin arbeitet, und Bond, dem Familienhund, der in der Lage ist, die Zukunft vorauszusehen – jeder Einzelne hält seine wahre Identität und seine Fähigkeiten aber vor den anderen geheim.

Nun gehen den Vorgesetzten von Loid allerdings die geldlichen Mittel aus und gleichzeitig fehlen ihnen ausreichende Erfolge von Operation Strix. Ein Glück, dass sich auf der Eden-Akademie für Anya die Chance auf einen Stella ergibt. Sammelt man genügend dieser Stellas, wird man zu einem Treffen mit den mächtigsten Leuten von Ostania eingeladen. Das Problem ist nur: Es handelt sich um einen Backwettbewerb und Anyas schulische Leistungen sind mehr schlecht als recht.

Also beschließt Loid ein wenig nachzuhelfen, denn als Spion kennt er natürlich das Lieblingsdessert des Prüfers, dem Direktor der Eden-Akademie. Damit Anya die perfekte Meremere backen kann, beschließt die Familie, in den Norden nach Frigis zu fahren, wo die Speise ursprünglich herkommt. Während Yor vermutet, dass Loid fremdgeht, und Anya in eine Sache des Militärs hineingezogen wird, muss Loid dafür sorgen, dass alles zugunsten von Operation Strix abläuft.

Wird es dem Topspion gelingen, ein weiteres Mal den Frieden zwischen Westalis und Ostania zu sichern? Oder wird die Familie an ihren Geheimnissen zerbrechen?
