When Ataru was still a little boy, he once met a strange girl in the playground who asked him to marry her. As children are, he thought it was a game, agreed and thought no more about it, especially since the girl disappeared afterwards and never came back.

But now the girl is back. It turns out that she is not from Earth and has brought a whole army with her to enforce the sandbox promise. Ataru has no choice but to come along to the planet Elle. Meanwhile, Lamu is already organising a rescue mission to get Ataru back at any cost …

Als Ataru noch ein kleiner Junge war, traf er einmal ein seltsames Mädchen auf dem Spielplatz, das ihn fragte, ob er sie heiraten würde. Wie Kinder nun mal so sind, hielt er das für ein Spiel, willigte ein und dachte nicht weiter darüber nach, zumal das Mädchen danach verschwand und niemals zurück kam.

Nun ist das Mädchen aber wieder da. Wie sich herausstellt, stammt sie gar nicht von der Erde und hat gleich mal eine ganze Streitmacht mitgebracht, um der Einforderung des Sandkastenversprechens Nachdruck zu verleihen. Ataru bleibt nichts anderes übrig, als zum Planeten Elle mitzukommen. Währenddessen organisiert Lum bereits eine Rettungsmission, um Ataru um jeden Preis zurückzuholen …
