Yumeji Hujiwara ist eigentlich ein ganz normaler Teenager, wäre da nicht eine seltsame Fähigkeit, die sich vor 10 Jahren das erste Mal bemerkbar gemacht hat. Er kann bei den anderen farbige Auren sehen, die ihm sagen, was für eine Art Traum die Person haben wird. Seine eigenen Träume lassen sich auch ohne Aura leicht voraussagen, denn Yumeji träumt jede Nacht den gleichen Albtraum, in dem er sich auf der Flucht vor Katzen befindet. Und die Situation im Traum wird immer schlimmer. Aber dann bekommt er überraschend Hilfe; von einem Mädchen namens Merry Nightmare, das buchstäblich vom Himmel gefallen und offenbar selber ein Albtraum ist.
