Cardfight!! Vanguard: Link Joker (2013)

A month after the end of the show fights in the VF Circuit, a new phase of life begins for Aichi Sendou: high school, which he will spend at the Miyaji Academy. There, special emphasis is placed on activities that are conducive to the students’ professional future. When Aichi meets the bored Naoki Ishida, he promptly introduces him to the art of Cardfight!!! Vanguard – with success.

Because Naoki is visibly interested, the next step is, of course, to found a suitable school club. With the famous Kourin Tatsunagi, a member of Team Ultra-Rare, and Shingo Komoi, who almost idolises Aichi, they have almost gathered enough members. However, the student council is not pleased at all about this plan as they don’t deem this card game exactly beneficial to the students’ development. Thus, Aichi and his companions are repeatedly placed obstacles in their way and also have to face other challenges, such as the upcoming Cardfight!! Vanguard high school tournament. But the newly formed team doesn’t let anything get them down that easily.

Einen Monat nach dem Ende der Showkämpfe im Rahmen des VF Circuit beginnt für Aichi Sendou ein neuer Lebensabschnitt: die Oberschulzeit, die er an der Miyaji-Akademie verbringen wird. Dort wird besonders Wert auf Aktivitäten gelegt, die förderlich für die eigene berufliche Zukunft sind. Als Aichi auf den gelangweilten Naoki Ishida trifft, führt er diesen postwendend in die Kunst von Cardfight!! Vanguard ein – mit Erfolg.

Weil Naoki sichtlich interessiert ist, steht als nächstes natürlich die Gründung eines passenden Schul-Clubs an. Mit der berühmten Kourin Tatsunagi, einem Mitglied von Team Ultra-Rare, und Shingo Komoi, der Aichi fast schon anhimmelt, haben sie schon fast genügend Mitglieder. Doch der Schülerrat ist über das Vorhaben so gar nicht erfreut, hält er dieses Kartenspiel nicht gerade förderlich für die Entwicklung der Schüler. So bekommen Aichi und seine Gefährten wiederholt Steine in den Weg gelegt. Auch müssen sie sich noch anderen Herausforderungen wie zum Beispiel dem anstehenden Cardfight!!-Vanguard-Turnier der Oberschulen stellen, doch so leicht lässt sich das frisch gebackene Team nicht unterkriegen.
