Wake Up, Girls! The Movie (2014)

The talent agency Green Leaves Entertainment is running out of talent now that the last client has left the company. The best days of attracting numerous magicians, fortune tellers and other artists are long gone. As a last resort before the foreseeable bankruptcy, the company’s president, Junko Tange, plans to set up an idol group under the leadership of Kouhei Matsuda.

But the task is not exactly easy for the aspiring talent scout because most of the talented people already have a company behind them. Therefore, he is also prepared to pick up people from the third row. No matter whether they are only 13 years old, have just been fired as a singer or have been picked up in a maid café. And so, under his leadership, a more-than-unusual group of young idols soon emerges.

Der Talentagentur Green Leaves Entertainment gehen die Talente aus, nachdem nun auch der letzte Kunde das Unternehmen verlassen hat. Die besten Tage, in denen man zahlreiche Magier, Wahrsager und sonstige Künstler anziehen konnte, liegen da schon lange zurück. Als letzter Ausweg vor dem absehbaren Bankrott plant der Präsident des Unternehmens, Junko Tange, unter der Leitung von Kouhei Matsuda eine Idolgruppe ins Leben zu rufen.

Doch die Aufgabe gestaltet sich für den aufstrebenden Talentscout nicht gerade einfach, denn die meisten talentierten Personen haben schon ein Unternehmen hinter sich. Daher ist er auch bereit, Personen aus der dritten Reihe aufzusammeln – egal, ob sie erst 13 Jahre alt sind, gerade als Sängerin gefeuert oder in einem Maid-Café aufgegabelt wurden. Und so entsteht unter seiner Führung bald eine mehr als ungewöhnliche Gruppe von jungen Idolen.
