Futakoi (2004)

“Nothing has changed! Everything is as I remember it. Only it seems a little smaller!” Nozomu Futami thinks to himself when he returns to his old hometown after years. Since his father was ordered abroad, he had only two options: either go with him or become self-sufficient and stay with his aunt – he opted for the latter.

There is something special about his small hometown: twins. An unusually high number of twins are born here. His aunt also had twins, and she decided quite spontaneously to marry Nozomu. But this is not the only pair of twins he meets. In the supermarket, he makes the acquaintance of the Sakurazuki twin sisters. At school, he meets the Ichijou twin sisters, with whom he has many an adventure. Billy joins them as well and makes life difficult for him wherever she can.

„Nichts hat sich verändert! Alles ist, wie ich es in Erinnerung habe. Nur ein wenig kleiner kommt es mir vor!“, denkt sich Nozomu Futami, als er nach Jahren wieder in seine alte Heimatstadt kommt. Da sein Vater ins Ausland beordert wurde, blieben ihm nur zwei Optionen: Entweder mitgehen oder auf eigenen Füßen stehen und bei seiner Tante unterkommen ‒ er entschied sich für letzteres.

Etwas ist besonders an seiner kleinen Heimatstadt: Zwillinge. Hier werden ungewöhnlich viele Zwillinge geboren. Auch seine Tante bekam welche, die außerdem recht spontan entschieden hatte, Nozomu zu heiraten zu wollen. Doch das ist nicht das einzige Zwillingspaar, auf das er trifft. Im Supermarkt macht er Bekanntschaft mit den Sakurazuki-Zwillingsschwestern. In der Schule trifft er auf die Ichijou-Zwillingsschwestern, mit denen er so manches Abenteuer erlebt. Dazu stößt noch Billy, die ihm das Leben schwer macht, wo sie nur kann.
