I Can’t Understand What My Husband Is Saying (2014)

The serious office worker Kaoru loves her husband, but the two could hardly be more different. While Kaoru is a hard-working and ordinary woman, her partner Hajime is a strange otaku who earns his money with an online blog about anime, among other things. The fact that he spends so much time in relevant online forums also, unfortunately, means that his wife often finds it difficult to understand anything that comes out of his mouth. Even Hajime’s family isn’t exactly straightforward about this, and the fact that his little brother is the author of a best-selling BL doujinshi about traps doesn’t make it any easier for Kaoru, either. Will married life with an advanced otaku be able to continue to succeed?

Die ernste Büroangestellte Kaoru liebt ihren Ehemann, doch die beiden könnten kaum unterschiedlicher sein. Während Kaoru eine hart arbeitende und normale Frau ist, ist ihr Partner Hajime ein sonderbarer Otaku, der sein Geld unter anderem mit einem Onlineblog über Animes verdient. Dass er so viel Zeit in einschlägigen Online-Foren verbringt, führt leider dazu, dass es seiner Frau oftmals schwerfällt, überhaupt alles zu verstehen, was aus seinem Mund kommt. Selbst Hajimes Familie ist, was das angeht, nicht gerade unkompliziert in der Handhabung und dass sein kleiner Bruder der Autor eines BL-Doujinshi-Bestsellers über Traps ist, macht es für Kaoru auch nicht gerade einfacher. Wird das Eheleben mit einem fortgeschrittenen Otaku weiter gelingen können?
