Polpo ist ein hochrangiges Mitglied und hat einen großen Einfluss in der Organisation Passione. Als Capo ist er für die Einstellung der Neuzugänge verantwortlich und testet deren Fähigkeiten. Er wurde für ein Verbrechen verurteilt und sitzt für 15 Jahre im Gefängnis von Neapel. Seine großen Leidenschaften sind das Essen und Sammeln von Kunstwerken. Vertrauen hält er für die wichtigste Eigenschaft eines Menschen. Nach außen hin wirkt Polpo freundlich und zuvorkommend, in Wirklichkeit sieht er seine Untergebenen nur als Schachfiguren, die leicht zu steuern sind.

Polpo erschoss sich versehentlich selbst, als er eine Pistole in den Mund nahm, die Giorno zuvor als Banane getarnt hatte. Dies geschah aus Rache, da ein unschuldiger, alter Mann in einen Stand-Kampf mit hineingezogen und schließlich getötet wurde.

Der Stand von Polpo heißt Shadow Sabbath.
