Informazioni

Descrizione

The SEGA Group Corporation was originally founded under the name Standard Games (later also Service Games). When the studio moved its headquarters to Tokyo in 1951, the name Service Games of Japan was registered the following year, in May 1952.

The company is a subsidiary of SEGA Sammy Holdings.

After David Rosen, an American businessman, founded the studio Rosen Enterprises in 1954 without great success, Rosen Enterprises and Service Games merged in 1965 to form Sega Enterprises. In 2000, the name was quickly changed to SEGA.

Major restructuring of the group of companies took place in 2015, leading to the renaming to SEGA Holdings. On April 1, 2020, the name was changed to SEGA Group Corporation.
