Graphinica, Inc. was founded on the 22nd April 2009 and is a Japanese CG and VFX video production company.
The headquarters are currently located in the Suginami district of the city of Tokyo.
It began with Gonzo’s digital division, which was established in April 2009 and spun off and became a separate company on the 1st May 2009.
On 1 April 2010, Decoloco was absorbed by the Q-TEC Group and integrated into the existing company structure. The following month, the headquarters moved from the Nerima district to the Suginami district of the city of Tokyo.
The company Memory-Tech Holdings Inc. became the company’s largest shareholder at the beginning of April 2015. This transformed Graphinica into a subsidiary.
On the 1st April 2016, Bamboo Mountain was converted into a subsidiary following a share transfer from Q-TEC. In collaboration with Avex Pictures Inc., the joint venture FLAGSHIP LINE was established in early July 2018.
The Live2D brand was transferred from Q-TEC Group to Graphinica in early April 2019.
At the beginning of April 2020, the decision was made to integrate the Bamboo Mountain subsidiary into the existing company structure and dissolve it. The former subsidiary was given the studio name Fukuoka Bamboo Studio.
