NHN Corporation is a South Korean company in the video game sector.
The company was founded in 1999 under the name Hangame Communications. The company finally merged with the Korean company Naver in September 2001 and, in the process, was dissolved.
Following a reorganisation of the Naver group, the new company NHN Entertainment Corporation was founded. Many of the divisions that had originated from Hangame Communications were transferred to this new company. On the other hand, Hangame Communications took over the Japanese subsidiary, which currently operates as NHN Japan, when the two companies separated afterwards.
On April 1, 2019, the company changed its name to NHN Corporation.
