Una frizzante romantic comedy scolastica per chi ha amato «Toradora»! A scuola, Kyoko è ammirata da tutti per il suo stile e la sua bellezza. Hori’s life as a normal teenager is more illusion than reality: while her classmates can devote their afternoons to the fun things in life, she has to do most of the housework due to her parents’ workload as well as look after her younger brother. However, she wants to keep her role as a housewife a secret, which is why it comes as a shock to her when her brother is brought home by a rather wild-looking boy who turns out to be her classmate Miyamura. She soon finds out that Miyamura leads a double life too and disguises himself at school as a typical bookworm. For both of them, their meeting means that they now have someone to be themselves in front of for the first time, and they quickly get used to spending a lot of time together.

Kyouko Horis Leben als normale Teenagerin ist mehr Schein als Sein, denn während ihre Mitschülerinnen ihre Nachmittage den schönen Dingen des Lebens widmen können, muss sie aufgrund der Arbeitsbelastung ihrer Eltern den Großteil des Haushalts führen und sich daneben auch noch um ihren jüngeren Bruder kümmern. Ihre Zweitrolle als Hausfrau will sie jedoch geheim halten, weshalb es als Schock für sie kommt, als ihr Bruder von einem eher wild aussehenden Jungen nachhause gebracht wird und sich der als ihr Mitschüler Izumi Miyamura herausstellt. Auch Izumi führt ein Doppelleben und gibt sich in der Schule konträr zu seinem eigentlichen Auftreten als schweigsamer Bücherwurm. Für beide bedeutet ihr Aufeinandertreffen, dass sie nun erstmals jemanden haben, vor dem sie ganz sie selbst sein können, und schnell gewöhnen sie sich daran, viel Zeit miteinander zu verbringen.
