This is a story of revival … How I was literally able to start walking again … and thinking back, I was constantly praying the whole journey … even this cross-continental race by horse was a journey of prayer. Praying for the weather tomorrow. Praying that when when we wake up the next day there would be a road on the land. Praying that we would have food and a place to sleep. Praying that our campfire would light. And while these common things would repeat, prayer that my friend and the horses would be okay. And we crossed each river one by one. Now … I have crossed the final river.

It’s truly, truly been … a very long roundabout path …

This story is the tale of me starting to walk. Not in the physical sense … but in an adolescence to adulthood sort of way …

That boy … I will take the place of my father who has put his pride in the family line. This job is my duty … and that will never change … It hasn’t in the past and it won’t change from here on. Power! Glory! Happiness! Culture! Law! Money! Food! The hearts of the people! I have taken the first napkin!

The one who took the first napkin determines everything. The rules of this world are determined by the same principle as “right, or left?”! In a society like this table, a state of equilibrium, once one makes the first move everyone must follow! In every era … This world has been operating by this napkin principle.

I have “feelings” of “patriotism.” Every action I have performed was because I judged it to be “absolutely” for this country’s sake.

What the President wanted … the right to being fortunate even if the law of the napkin is within the corpse. I think that after all, the only thing that can decide that is the will of God. Ultimately … the corpse does not belong to anyone … Not to be the possession of one nation … or one person. This way is best … the corpse must be stored somewhere but this way, it will not belong to anyone.

Listen closely! True failure is forgetting the pioneer spirit! And staying away from challenging hardships! There is no such thing as failure in this race! There are only adventurers! This Steel Ball Run race will be an event the likes of which the world has never experienced before!

I can’t bear it anymore … the sin I committed … that sin feels like It’s going to destroy me … The only thing that can soothe and cleanse my sin is that corpse. And the act of obtaining the corpse is the for the sake of the people of this world’s righteous heart … For that end, I will defeat the President or whomever it may be! This time … I will sacrifice my life.

I have that “1 out of 5,000,000,000 good luck” … I’ll believe in that … I came to San Diego believing that … If I was wrong, it’s all over right here … I’m gonna win it. I’ll win it … and then I’ll go back home and live a happier life!

I feel no morsel of remorse, or even equivalent to the smallest grain of sand in the desert. Not an inch … The only worry I have is for my sister, who I have left in my homeland. I want her to be happy … My only prayer is for her …

The white man is the enemy. But, protecting yourself by understanding the enemy’s culture is another way. Our tribe’s way of thinking won’t work in these times. I’ve come here because I’ve treated my own child horribly for years and years. And the whole time up until now, I never realized that cruelty. I know that apologizing isn’t enough to make up for scarring my child’s heart. But that … is something I finally now have come to realize. My child’s name is Johnny Joestar. He crossed from the far-off West coast all the way across the continent. All by himself. And now! Here! He’s finally made it to New York …

“Patriotism” is the most beautiful “virtue” in this world. Even animals risk their lives for the sake of their children, but risking one’s life for pride in their country and thinking of it as an extension of protecting one’s family is only a “nobility of humanity” … a kind of heart completely different from a religious fanatic.
