Save Me (2017)

Because of her brother Sang-Jin being bullied, the whole family is forced to leave the city and start over. Im Sang-Mi needs to integrate herself into her new school, but yet again her brother becomes the victim of the bullies. However, that’s not the only thing Sang-Mi struggles with, as she comes into contact with a strange cult, lead by the charismatic Beak Jung-Ki, which all neighbours are part of. It doesn’t take long and her parents join the cult, hoping to free their son from the bullying, but Sang-Mi sees the dark world behind the cult.

She tries to make her parents leave, but they seem bewitched by Jung-Ki. Thus, she turns to a group of young boys from her school, who even stood up for her brother. The group around leader Han Sang-Hwan agrees to help, but they can’t begin to imagine that they are about to fight the devil himself …

Years later, the situation gets dire, as you should never fight the devil!

Im Sang-Mi muss umziehen, als das Mobbing gegen ihren Bruder Sang-Jin einfach nicht aufhört. Die beiden versuchen es an der neuen Schule von vorne, doch auch hier ist Sang-Jin schnell wieder das Mobbing-Opfer. Doch nicht nur das belastet die Schülerin, auch in ihrer Nachbarschaft werden seltsame Dinge getrieben: So ist fast jeder in ihrer Nachbarschaft Mitglied einer religiösen Sekte unter der Leitung des charismatischen und überdramatischen Baek Jung-Ki, der mit seinen Reden alle Menschen in seinen Bann zieht. So auch Sang-Mis Eltern, nur die Schülerin merkt schnell, dass hinter der Blendung ein dunkles Geheimnis der Sekte liegt. So sucht sie Hilfe bei der Jungs-Clique rund um Han Sang-Hwan, die in der Schule auch schon ihren Bruder Sang-Jin verteidigt. Dabei ahnen die Schüler jedoch noch nicht, in welchen Psychokrieg sie hineingezogen werden.

Jahre später spitzt sich die Situation zu … denn wer sich einmal mit der Organisation angelegt hat, der kommt so schnell nicht mehr von ihnen los.
